Medium speckled pebble jar in sand with ice blue
This medium-sized jar is slightly higher and slimmer, allowing for taller items to fit in and creating an interesting look when combined with other sizes and forms.
It is made from flecked stoneware clay that fires to a tan colour. The clay is thrown into a one-piece closed form, which is later opened and trimmed into a lidded vessel. The inside is glazed in translucent ice blue, which reacts beautifully with the speckled clay, revealing a shiny little surprise when the lid is opened. The exterior is left unglazed, highlighting the exposed clay. Subtle spiral details are added to the bottom of the vessel.
These jars are both practical and decorative, and work particularly well when combined in different sizes and materials.

Use · Great for holding a variety of items that need protection from dust. Jewellery is the first that comes to mind, but I could also see this jar making an appearance on anyone's kitchen worktop as a jar for spices, herbs, sugar, or salt. All sorts of bathroom storage will work well too.
